Australia sees first insurer offering Google Assistant-integrated service

Real Insurance Australia has introduced a Google Assistant app which specifically answers important questions on life insurance from customers through their Android mobile device or Google smart speaker at any place and time. Real Insurance is said to be the first life insurer in the country to execute a Google Assistant integration.

The app seeks to help answer questions such as, ‘Do I need life insurance?’, ‘Why do I need life insurance if I am young and healthy?’ and ‘Can I get life insurance as a smoker?’.

The Google Assistant app is set to reduce the time spent with an agent over the ‘phone significantly as it claims to provide the relevant life insurance information required by Australians. Users can activate Real Insurance’s answers to their questions through Google Assistant .
